the ordinary moments #6: Sunday is family fun day

the ordinary moments #6 Sunday is family fun day

kids bowling

We try, as much as possible, to keep Sundays free for doing stuff as a family. Of course, it doesn’t always work out that way, but we try. We visit family, go to the park, go on outings, or just hang out together.

Last Sunday, we took Kirby bowling for the first time. We used to go quite often, but haven’t for a while, so the last time we went he was too small to play and slept in the buggy the whole time.

I had a dismal game and got beaten by my three year old (I think I’ll try that ramp thingy next time too!), but we all had a good laugh.

Linking up with Katie for the Ordinary Moments.

  2. I love bowling even if I am totally rubbish at it most of the time. Next time you’ll have to use the ramp and have the inflatable bits in the gullies…… Might make it feel a bit too easy though! I love the photos too. x

  3. That does look like fun! On this sunny Sunday, the family is outside playing and I’m inside working. But I’m a room with windows, lots of natural light, and I can see them through the glass. I’m good with it… I like what I’m working on. But in general, I look forward to when things so slow down and I get my weekends again!

  4. I enjoy a good game of bowling, the last time I went was when I was pregnant. Look forward to taking my ill man when he’s older x

  5. I so agree that Sunday is family day! And the ramp and bumper guards are a necessity if you want to even the playing field! Haha! #OrdinaryMoments

  7. Sounds like a perfect family day, J and I used to love bowling before the girls came along but we haven’t been as a family yet. I have taken mads once with some friends but I wonder if we should go again as a family. I have such fond memories of my Mum and Dad taking me. x

  8. What a coincidence! We have had a run of bad weather lately and yesterday were thinking of finding a local bowling alley so we could all shake off some of our stir craziness. Now you’re making me wish we had. Maybe next weekend!

  10. Oh that looks like fun – we’ve never taken the girls but perhaps Kitty at least would be big enough to give it a whirl – and it’s the perfect excuse for gutter bumpers!
