A few journal pages

Yes, that’s right, journal pages!!! It’s been a while, huh?!

You may remember this first one from my header back in June. I was going to post about it then, but was afraid I couldn’t show it without giving away I was pregnant. I was so excited I wanted to shout it from the rooftops!

I also just realised I never showed this, which I made way back in April. I’m not happy with it. As you can see, I had a bit of a problem with the glue stick and let’s not even mention that fur ball of a thing on her head, but love the sentiment of the page itself. May go back to it someday to see if I can straighten it out somewhat.

The next two were made more recently. They are very simple, understated even, and perfectly fit where I am in my life right now. I’ve been on a simplifying journey for many years, but it has accelerated greatly since I found out I was pregnant again. And now, after having had to clear out the guestroom so we could camp out in there while we’re doing up the master bedroom, simplifying has become a necessity.

Concrete Jungle

Concrete Jungle is based on the sweetest conversation I had with Aoife towards the end of summer:

Aoife: Mummy, where daddy works?

Me: In London.

Aoife: One day daddy take me to work in London?

Me: Sorry honey, daddy’s work is too dangerous for little girls. (He’s in construction)

Aoife: Why? Are there tigers there?

You gotta love the mind of a three year old!
