Ever see a journal page with a mind of it’s own?
Well, now you have!
Honestly, this was the most stubborn journal entry I’ve ever worked with! It had no intentions of ever doing what I wanted it to do. In the end, I just had to accept that it wanted to be something completely different and go with it. On a positive note, I love my (mostly hidden) journalling for it. It was very cathartic. I also love the subtle personal symbols. I will talk more about this page at a later date.
While I journalled for Two Lives something came up that I thought deserved a closer look, so I started jotting down a journal entry for that too and playing around with images.
Some of the details have been lost in the picture. Mostly the shiny bits (glamour dust), but also the crown of thorns in the trash. I love the whole idea behind this journal entry though and may turn it into a painting at a later stage.
Oh I love them both. So much colour and interest in the first. And lots of interesting things going on. I see those two flags!
How starnge about doing the second one. I love how you incoporated your face in that, fits so well. Crown of thorns in bin? ooh intriguing.
Great stuff.
i love these pages … so rich and textured and full of intriguing symbols, messages … i have read the full moon prompts and cannot seem to wrap my mind around any of it … guess i need to just dive into the page and see what emerges? you’ve inspired me for sure!
Thanks Mon! I really like using picture of myself in journalling when I’m writing about something that’s very personal like this, because it gives it an added depth/ I can relate to it more.
Thanks Lis! I obviously had a bit of a head start on this one, but think it’s worth a try. Would love to see what you came up with.
Wonderful Carin! I especially like the top one. :)) That’s the great thing about journaling for me, I take a prompt and just play. It never turns out the way I originally envisioned, but always something wonderful in the end.
Much Love
Thanks Paula!
Cool…I started a drawing with the scales but I didn’t get to finish it.
I love the two lives and how you can read it up and down or across. Love the blending of the colors.
Thanks Lisa!
I ADORE the idea of creating art over journal entries. I have never thought of that! you are so crafty!
Thanks JennyAnn! And very nice to see you here 🙂
These journal pages are lovely. The colours are just gorgeous 🙂
Thanks Kate!
