It is so lovely being back in the studio after the summer break. The first project on my mind when I got back was the butterfly reminder from week 5 of the Artistic Mother by Shona Cole, even though I dragged my feet a little towards the end (until Trudy gave me some common sense, but still inspired advice).
I loved this project and had looked forward to it since I started the book. I couldn’t wait to work with balsa wood again since it brought back many fun-filled memories of model making at Architectural Studies classes way back when (that’s a story for another day). I also loved the chance of working with beads and jewellery wire since that was completely new to me.
Don’t forget to go over to Trudy’s to see what the others in the Artistic Mother’s group are doing.
Oooh! It’s beautiful! I LOVE the soft blue (a fav of mine!) and your beads are so unique – I love your twist on it and your faith sign really ties it all together. Wonderful work! AND thank you for your sweet message, xo
Carin great minds think alike..lol. Love this especially the beads and blue cross..you can tell you are from Sweden as its very scandinavian looking..a look I love
