Wherever we go, I’m told Aoife is the spit of me. Then someone usually says that Kirby is the spit of Aoife. Poor Alan doesn’t get a look in.
I’m used to it. I’ve heard it all my life. Growing up, everyone said how much I looked like my mother. And acted like her. And sounded like her.
I find this pretty comforting. No matter how much life changes, no matter how much I change and grow, I always have a base. Whatever happens, I always have a direct connection with the past and the future. I just have to look in the mirror. That’s pretty cool!

This art journal page was started such a long time ago, I can hardly remember what went into it! I can see watersoluble crayons, texture paste, acrylics, ink pads and spray, stamps and stencils, scrapbook paper, personal photographs, and a few different pens.
Oh my gosh! HOW stinkin cute! And such a clever idea – way to go Mama! AND thank you for your sweet comments before I left for my trip – just getting back to “normal” xoxo
Thank you Kristin!
carin, this is absolutely adorable! little nesting dolls!
Thank you Aimee! And so nice seeing you here!
So cute! My daughter looks more like my mom than I do. The older I get the more I look like my paternal grandmother. It’s nice to be connected in that way.
Thanks Janet! How funny that it has skipped a generation with you, yet you still feel that connection! So nice!
This is adorable- so much fun!! Brings back plenty of memories of the nesting dolls and being told how much I looked like my mother!
Thanks Carolyn! I love nesting dolls 🙂
Awe, thank you Carin!
