Mixed media landscape

Mixed media landscape

I am  having so much fun in the studio at the moment. I’m pushing my own boundaries, stretching my comfort zone and redefining what art is and means to me. Mostly I’m learning not to apologise for anything I make. This piece was definitely part of that process. I had so much fun making it. It’s so cheery.

It was made  using acrylics on brown paper, gold foil wrapping paper, wool felt, buttons, embroidery floss, buttons and painted lolly (popsicle) sticks. I think I will mount it on some plywood for added stability.
