Artistic Mother: week 4 vision statement banner

art vision banner- the artistic mother

This is the 4th project from The Artistic Mother by Shona Cole. It took a while for this to come together, I fiddled with it quite a bit, but am happy with how it turned out.

I printed my vision statement on a picture of Aoife blowing bubbles on our back porch a while back. Above the vision statement is my list of long term goals. The  image of the two angel children was downloaded from the Graphics Fairy and the butterfly stamp with the verse is from My Sentiments Exactly. “MY ART VISION” was stencilled on some scrap pieces of background paper, left to dry a few minutes, then distressed a little with a wet wipe.  I also used bamboo garden stakes instead of dowels to give the piece a more rustic look.

Has anyone else noticed that every piece I make for the AM group is very red? What is that all about?!?!

  3. I love your vision statement banner. And I love the red. Keep using it if it makes you happy; and just think, everything will be color coordinated. Your daughter is too cute.

I LOVE your vision statement banner! Precious and so beautiful. Love the butterfly and your “My Art Vision” letters and background. The entire piece~love it!
And, it is interesting how our projects will center around a certain color at certain times. I’ve been using lots of blue-green, turquoise with red lately.
    Have a lovely weekend!

  13. I love the statement on the cute bubble picture. I just learned a couple of new things about you by reading your goals. Cool!

  14. I love your banner! I hope it inspires and guides you over the coming months … I am surprised by how often I look to mine to recall my intentions, my goals. Certainly supports me when I am feeling less than gentle with myself. I am thinking our family needs a banner with a statement of purpose!
    Have a wonderful holiday weekend!
